The Posy Co has recently opened our Bundaberg Studio and we're looking to expand our team with a Casual Florist. This role assists our other team members to ensure the smooth daily running of the studio. We pride ourselves on using the freshest quality blooms that arrive daily from markets and local growers. We also do indoor plants and gift boxes and wholesale. We're a fun team who enjoy our friendly team environment.
The role
As our Florist, you will create beautiful flower arrangements and designs. You will also process and condition flower stock, wrap and finish arrangements, perform stocktake and ordering and pack gift boxes and add-ons. Under the supervision of our amazing team, you will have the opportunity for learning and skills development to help further your floral career.
Duties
- Unpack stock deliveries and assist to process and grade stock
- Cut and arrange flowers and other greenery
- Assist to process orders and ensure orders are fulfilled on-time to the highest standards
- Assist with customer enquiries and processing customer requests
- Maintain stock and perform stock rotations
- Cleaning workstations and order fulfilment areas to a high standard
- Resetting workstations and consumable stock
- Other duties as directed by the Head Florist, Owner Manager and other management staff
Skills and experience
- At least 12 months floristry experience required
- Ability to learn and develop skills under supervision
- Friendly and warm customer service skills
This role requires weekday availability and may include some weekend work in the future. Whilst we are advertising casual roles, there is the possibility of permanent part-time in the near future.
