Rabobank NZ are currently recruiting for a Data Analyst based in our Head Office in Hamilton. You could be an experienced Analyst with experience across Pega, SQL and Power BI, or you could be passionate about getting into the Data Analytics and report writing space - we have lots of scope for developing you into the role.
The Data Analyst role provides advice and support as part of the NZ team. The role will implement tools and strategies to translate raw data into valuable business insights which will form a key element of the strategy for the New Zealand Leadership team. The role will work across the entire organisation with a focus on the lending and funding business lines (Deposits and Country Banking).
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will also be working alongside existing reporting groups such as Risk, Finance, Compliance and Human Resources.
The role will develop management reporting by engaging with business stakeholders and key systems users to support business decision making through analysis and implementing process improvements. The goal will be to help the business use data to drive high performance and quality.
This position will see you utilise your strong business acumen, excellent stakeholder engagement and technical skills (SQL, business objects). You will prepare and analyse all financial data and be part of a wider bank initiative to enhance reporting and share insights from this data collection.
You might have some or lots of experience with the following:
Experience or interest in reporting, Analytics or systems in an organisation of a similar size, complexity & industry.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Teams)
- Excellent analytical skills in SQL, Business Objects and Power BI
- Report Writing.
- Demonstrated experience in analysing data and drawing insightful and meaningful conclusions.
- Experience in translating business need into robust processes, reporting and recommended system requirements.
- Significant experience in the development and use of profiling, targeting and segmentation.
- Confident in dealing with all levels of the organisation.
- Experience of working within an international & regional operating model.
- Exposire to the Pega Product Suite
- Quickly understand how databases, systems and processes work, always seeking to improve efficiencies as well as making the most of the information available.
