Straub is a
complete health care system, which means the primary care physicians,
specialist physicians, clinics and hospital staff are all part of the
same organization. Straub cares for patients throughout the
state at both the hospital and clinic locations. Straub offers
a network of neighborhood clinics on Oahu, Lanai and visiting
specialists on the Big Island as well as the services of nearly 200
physician specialists. Straub's Anesthesiologists and Certified
Registered Nurse Anesthetists provide general anesthesia and pain
management for hospital patients and those who have outpatient
surgeries at Straub Hospital. The CRNA, in collaboration with
physicians, participates in the total anesthesia ca! re of assigned
patients to include pre-anesthetic preparat! ion/evaluation, selection
and administration of anesthetic or other agents administered in the
management of anesthetic care, anesthetic induction, maintenance,
emergence and post-anesthesia care.

Requirements
Minimum
Qualifications:
Must meet education requirements
for
Hawaii
state
licensing. Graduate of an approved nurse anesthesia
program by the Council of Nurse Anesthesia. Current Hawaii! RN
license. Current BLS/HCP card. Meet AANA
requirements for certification (must obtain certification within two
years of hire).
Preferred:
Current Hawaii APRN
license. Certified registered nurse anesthetist by the American
Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA). Current ACLS
certification. Active member of the AANA and Hawaii Association
of Nurse Anesthetists. Experience as a CRNA.
