Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team and support the production of high-quality inspection reports. The Technical Writer will be responsible for working closely with our team to organize technical information into clear and concise reports. The successful candidate will have a strong scientific or technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to write effectively for various audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our team to understand technical information related to wood flooring inspections and investigations
- Organize and structure technical information into clear and concise reports
- Edit and proofread reports to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
- Collaborate with team members to ensure reports meet project deadlines and client expectations
- Research and gather technical information as needed
- Continuously improve report templates and formatting to streamline the report production process
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g., engineering, chemistry, physics, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a legal, scientific, or engineering context
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Ability to write for a variety of audiences and adjust writing style as needed
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with technical report formatting and template creation
- Experience using automated writing tools, such as ChatGPT, is a plus
- Familiarity with wood flooring or related industries is a plus
