Scope Of Work:The Testing Analyst will work as part of a Testing team to support the Client Test Manager with testing services in the following areas:
Provide support to the testing effort:
- Provide strategic support to the Client Test Manager in test approaches, test management, and scheduling, recognizing a target implementation date is in place, to minimize risks and identify reasonable mitigation opportunities.
- Provide testing analytical and operational support in areas such as system integration testing to represent Client as testing streams are conducted, user acceptance testing, parallel testing, end-to-end testing, usability testing, batch, interface, and performance testing. This may include running batch jobs, triaging, and providing analysis.
- Support the Client Test Manager in managing activities to the testing schedule. Work with Client and Client Vendor’s Test leads to ensure Master Project Schedule is updated with all testing activities on a weekly basis.
- Provide input to and operational support in the management and metrics definition of defects in the tracking tool, Jama, as well as any auxiliary testing trackers used to manage the various testing phases on the project.
- Complete a project close-out report that captures a summary of any outstanding items, and outlines project transition to program activities to Client PMO and sponsors.
Provide leadership in strengthening and supporting the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) team in its remaining tasks:
- Review and update the UAT Detailed Test Plan (DTP). The review should include analysis and a briefing on the status of and recommended next steps for UAT to the Client’s UAT Business Manager, Test Manager, and the Project Director. The analysis should understand that a target implementation date is in place, and that the objective is to identify risks and reasonable mitigation opportunities for the remainder of the project in areas such as: roles and responsibilities of the team members; tools, techniques and processes; and testing methodology. The briefing should also recommend options and best practices for the remaining activities and develop or confirm the strategy to complete UAT.
- Work with the PMO to tie UAT milestone activities to the Master Project Schedule.
- Support UAT activities per the UAT test plan.
- Guide Client in the development/refinement of UAT test scripts to be completed in a time-boxed period. Where necessary, support UAT testers by helping create or modify test cases.
- Support UAT testers during UAT with Problem Incident Report (PIR) triaging, entering PIRs into Jama, and supporting testers in the retesting of remediated PIRs.
- Through the remainder of the contract, monitor ongoing UAT activities, identify risks and risk mitigation, create metrics, and report on status.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three (3) years’ experience testing large system implementation projects within the last ten (10) years.
Three (3) years’ experience developing UAT test cases, or executing UAT test cases, or supporting business users in executing UAT for a pension administration system implementation within the last ten (10) years.
Experience working in local/state/federal government agencies.
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
