Hotel Isaacs Cork is seeking a Business Analyst to join our wonderful team.

Job Description:

To work closely with the General Manager and the various Heads of Department to clinically analyse the operations of the business and to bring efficiencies to those operations’ processes.
To work with and be part of the strategic planning of the various departments within the hotel ensuring that it is a profit driven, customer focussed, team orientated function.

Day-to-day duties will include:

  • To promote a pro-active, team building environment throughout the Hotel and ensure inter-departmental co-operation is understood and achieved.
  • To lead by example specifically with regard to presentation of factual information and that this information is presented in a non-bias manner.
  • To have a good working knowledge of systems that are in place across the Hotels various departments with regard to purchasing, billing and docket procedures, ensuring effective communication between all departments.
  • To attend hotel management meetings as required. The purpose of which is to identify areas of weakness and strive to improve processes throughout the hotel.
  • To prepare written departmental reports for the Hotel Manager as requested.
  • To work closely with the reservations team maximising all sales and marketing opportunities and monitoring their impact on the business.
  • To work closely with the General Manager to endeavour to minimise the Hotel’s costs and maximise profitability while providing a high quality service at all times.
  • To maximise utilisation of the various Food & Beverage Outlets through strong diary management.
  • To review the wine list & various menus, with a view to achieving budgeted liquor and food gross profit percentages and to further reduce wastage.
  • To assist the General Manager in the preparation of budgets.
  • To work with the various Heads of Departments to assist in the control of labour costs within budget and offer ideas where greater ergonomics can be achieved.
  • To carry out monthly stock takes of crockery, glass and cutlery, investigating differences and taking appropriate action to minimise losses.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential: Honours Degree in Business-related field
Min 5 years project management experience
Previous hospitality experience

Desirable:
Team work, problem-solving, working on own initiative, communication skills
Strong command of IT
