Coastal Care Disability Services is looking for male casual Disability Support Workers who are passionate about supporting individuals with disability. We have immediate vacancies available for people who have flexible availability and are able to work various shifts at different locations around the Gold Coast, Logan and Ipswich areas.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our clients, who may have a range of disabilities, including physical, intellectual, or sensory disabilities. You will be required to assist our clients with their daily activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, medication support, mobility assistance, and engagement in social activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quality care and support to individuals with disability
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, medication support, and mobility assistance
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families
- Support clients to participate in recreational and social activities
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation
- Follow relevant policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients
Key Requirements:
- Must have a Yellow and Blue Card
- Passionate about working with people with disability
- Good communication, English and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Understanding of disabilities and the needs of people with disabilities
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
